Penicillin

Before the discovery of antibiotics, bacterial infections were largely untreatable. The only treatments available for bacterial infections were quinine, arsenic, and sulfa drug; all highly toxic.

What is Penicillin?

Penicillin is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections. They are derived from Penicillium fungi.
Penicillins are the first anti-bacterial drugs used by doctors and attack a wide range of bacteria.
